Turbotville WWTP
Construction of a new Sequencing Batch Reactor Wastewater Treatment Plant in Turbotville, PA
This project involved the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant to replace the Turbotville wastewater treatment plant that previously served the area, starting at the influent headworks/screening to the effluent treatment and discharge.
Constructed alongside an existing out of date/failing wastewater treatment plant in operation, this project was designed in 3 phases to maintain operation of the existing WWTP. Once the new SBR WWTP was built and put into service, the existing WWTP was demolished in its entirety. The final phase of the project was the Storm Water Management Basin/Controls in the area of the existing WWTP location. Worth & Company was the General Contractor responsible for all trades including Excavation, Concrete, Underground Piping, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Process Equipment and Site Improvements. The SBR tank system was approx. 4,000 SF area approx. 67,000 Cubic Feet 504,000 Gallon capacity in total.
