Kings Road Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Kind Road Wastewater Treatment Plant was an upgrade and expansion of an existing plant to include an Aeromod System in a Dutchland pre-cast tank.
More specifically, the King Road Wastewater Treatment Plant project was an upgrade of the process from 4 independent plants to one new process to handle 2.4 MGD of influent with a 4.8 MGD peak flow. The construction of an entirely new process tankage along with rehabbing the existing treatment tanks converted to digesters. The new Aero-Mod system is operated entirely with air and no mechanically moving parts.
The new facilities include 4 cells comprised or first stage aeration, second stage aeration and final clarifier. New WAS pump station, new yard piping, new blowers and controls, new headworks building, consisting of new fine screen, Grit classifier, HVAC and controls.
Worth’s ability to prefabricate and manufacturer was a huge success to this project because we were able to trouble shoot for potential onsite issues given the size and complexity of materials used. In addition, prefabrication and manufacturing in a controlled environment allows for a safer atmosphere for our employees. Lastly, this project demonstrates our ability to perform turn-key wastewater treatment plant’s varying in size and complexity.
